ReTargeters Next Steps Supported by New Leadership
Im excited about 2014. Life is going to change for me pretty dramatically and Im looking forward to that.
Here’s why Im excited
In 2009, I started ReTargeter, providing a platform for brands and agencies to deliver highly targeted advertising. I really enjoyed my time helping to grow the Yahoo! Real Estate business unit but realized that starting my own company was something that I felt really passionate about. I started ReTargeter to democratize retargeting and also to bring a deep commitment to customer care into an often highly transactional space.
What I didnt know was how fast our revenues and team would grow (we were an Inc. 500 fastest growing company in 2013), and how quickly wed become a profitable company (in the first year). I attribute that to the amazing people that Ive had a chance to work with creative, sharp, fun people who are excited to help build a successful business.
What Ive truly loved about running the company is supporting my team in their personal and professional growth, leading the creation of an awesome culture, developing and holding the vision for the company, consulting with and working with our clients, and getting out there to tell the ReTargeter story.
Although I enjoyed leading ReTargeter and supporting its tremendous growth, Ive also had the time to reflect and realize that for ReTargeter to continue to grow quickly, reach the next stage, and make the impact I know it can, we needed to bring on a leader who had experience in scaling to that next level someone with a different skill set and set of passions than my own.
So Im excited to announce that Blair Jeffris is stepping into the role of CEO. Ill be moving into the Chairman of the Board / Founder role and will still be very much involved in the business particularly in the product, marketing, and evangelism areas what I love to do most and feel Im best at.
Ive spent a good amount of time with Blair and I’m impressed with his business acumen, his integrity, and his commitment to client success. He has a long list of accomplishments at companies like LivePerson, Ingenio, FixYa, USWeb/CKS, and AT&T Interactive. Im confident that his level of experience is going to serve the company exceptionally well helping guide it to its next stage of growth and evolution.
If you have any questions or feedback feel free to email me. I always appreciate the opportunity to hear from our friends, customers, clients, and partners.
I wish you and yours a successful and abundant 2014.
